These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The AI Coach is an educational tool based on attachment theory concepts. It provides general relationship insights and conversation prompts. Specifically:

The Service allows you to create and share content including profile information, photos, direct messages, coaching conversation content, quiz responses, and post-date reflections ("User Content").
By submitting User Content, you grant HeartMap a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We do not sell your User Content to third parties.
You represent and warrant that:
Privacy of sensitive content: Coaching conversations, post-date reflections, match insights, and behavioral pattern data are private to you. They are never shown to other users or shared publicly. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You agree not to:
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, and may be reported to law enforcement where appropriate.
HeartMap offers a premium subscription tier with enhanced features.
HeartMap and all content, code, design, software, algorithms, assessment frameworks, coaching prompts, brand assets, trade dress, and other materials that make up the Service are the exclusive property of HeartMap and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other applicable intellectual property laws. The HeartMap name and logo are trademarks of HeartMap. All rights reserved.
Proprietary elements include without limitation: the attachment dimension scoring system, behavioral signal detection models, AI relationship coaching prompts and conversation flows, match insight generation, stall coach logic, and all visual and interactive design elements.
You may not reproduce, copy, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, display, perform, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written permission.
You retain ownership of content you create and submit through the Service ("User Content"), including your profile information, messages, post-date reflections, and quiz responses.
By submitting User Content, you grant HeartMap a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and display purposes only), distribute, and display your User Content solely to the extent necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. This license terminates when you delete your account and your content is removed per our Privacy Policy.
You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content; (b) your User Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights; and (c) your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.
You may not, without our express written permission:
HeartMap respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA takedown notice using the procedure described on our DMCA page. We will respond to valid notices as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
Counter-notices and repeat-infringer policies are also described on the DMCA page.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Special care is taken with sensitive data including behavioral patterns, coaching conversations, and post-date reflections. This data is never sold or shared with other users.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE; (B) DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; (C) THE SERVICE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS; OR (D) RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE SUCCESSFUL ROMANTIC MATCHES, RELATIONSHIP OUTCOMES, OR THE ACCURACY OF ATTACHMENT STYLE ASSESSMENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HEARTMAP, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:
IN NO EVENT SHALL HEARTMAP'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO HEARTMAP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HeartMap and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights.
Informal Resolution: Before filing a formal claim, you agree to first contact us at heartmap@polsia.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes within 30 days.
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Arbitration: Any unresolved dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis — class actions are waived to the extent permitted by law.
Exceptions: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court. Either party may also seek injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
Venue: Any court proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Delaware. You consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
By you: You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your profile is removed from the platform and your personal data is deleted within 30 days (subject to retention requirements described in our Privacy Policy). A pre-deletion anonymized snapshot is retained for fraud prevention and analytics.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:
Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitation of liability.
We may update these Terms periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify you by email or prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
